School’s Out, Stay Safe!

I have had another busy week, but have some information to share this time, see below around internet safety and fraud.

I have been supporting Kidderminsters great Response teams, visiting domestic incidents and violent males and seizing drugs from the address.

On Wednesday 15th July 2026 I have been with the great members of Kidderminster safer neighbour teams, Violence a women and girls (VAWG) Inspector, a member of Worcester University and the deputy PCC. This has been part of the Operation jog on, encouraging women and girls to report abuse while they exercise outside. This operation was recorded by lots of media including the Shuttle and BBC which is great to get the information out there. West Mercia’s aim to make the streets same from abuse.

With the summer holidays upon us, know what your children are doing, who they are with and who they are talking to.

Just because they are indoors doesn’t mean they are safe. Check what they are doing on mobile phones, tablets, computers and consoles. 

Be aware if your child’s behaviour changes. If they become aggressive or angry about things, defensive around devices, go off to the toilet to use mobile phones. They may also become quiet or distant. Know your child and seek advice if needed.

With long days and nice weather its great when kids are outside, playing and off the computers. Know what they are doing and who they are with. This time of year sees a lot of anti-social behaviour around large groups in parks, knock door runs and electric scooters/illegal bikes.

Oldington, Foley and Sutton Park SNT will be doing patrols, increasing around parks and known problem areas.

During patrols today I have seized a vape from a child ages 11, the parents were informed. 

Generally no issues though! seen with lots of dog walkers and people exercising.

Know your Fraud. Its is very easy to get caught out, these people unfortunately know what they are doing! Don’t be ashamed or embarrassed to report or tell friends/family for support if needed.

Best way to report fraud is through REPORT FRAUD.
