E scooters |
There have been several sightings of young people on E scooters in the Tudorville area recently. These E scooters have been spotted travelling at speed on the main Walford Road, Tudor Rise and surrounding areas. These young people clearly have no regard for others whilst they are illegally and irresponsibly riding them. A quick reminder that anyone caught on an E scooter risks having 6 points on their licence - before even obtaining one, the scooter being seized and a hefty fine.
The only way to legally ride an E scooter is on private land, with landowners permission. E scooters are classed as motor vehicles and must be taxed, insured, licensed and have a valid MOT certificate. Since most E scooters do not have these features, they cannot be legally used on UK roads.
I would urge anyone with any information to get in touch.
