Police Visit to Smart Steps Nursery |
||
|
Police visit to Smart Steps Nursery in Malvern. PC Dee Stanley and and I were invited to Smart Steps Nursery to speak with the Children about "People who help us". We attended the Nursery this morning, spoke with the Children about our role, uniform and the Children were excited to be shown a Police Car. The Children were also able to try on Police Uniform and set off the Sirens to the car. It was a pleasure to visit the Nursery, we were impressed with the Children's knowledge and level enthusiasm. These types of engagement with nursery-age children are a core part of neighbourhood policing, aimed at building trust from the earliest stage of development. Establishing a positive relationship early on helps ensure children do not fear the police and see them as friendly, approachable figures they can turn to if they are lost or need help.
