Op Sceptre - tackling knife crime

This week we’re supporting Op Sceptre, a national campaign to tackle knife crime.

We know locally knife crime is relatively low compared to other areas, however, we’re not complacent and continue to take action to stop people from carrying a knife in the first place.

This week Monkmoor & Sutton Safer Neighbourhood Team will be carrying out retailer visits to businesses that sell bladed articles and knives to see what provisions and literature are in place, and ensuring staff check ID for the under 25 scheme and if these businesses sell online and what provisions are taken.
