||
A series of raids in Hereford yesterday (Thursday 24 July) saw around £2,500 of suspected stolen property seized which officers are now hoping to reunite with their rightful owners. Police executed three drugs warrants at three addresses in Hunderton Avenue area of the city working on intelligence of suspected drug dealing activity. Mobile phones were seized at two of the properties which will now be examined by digital forensics but at a third property, a large haul of scooters, garden furniture, Lego and toys, kitchen equipment and household goods were discovered. The estimated total value of the suspected stolen items is around £2,500 and consists of: - Three men in their 30s, 40s and 50s, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs. The man in his 40s was also arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods. They were bailed with conditions while officers carry out further enquiries. Detective Sergeant Mark Jones, of Hereford Neighbourhood Crime Fighting Team (NCFT), said: “We executed three warrants yesterday acting on intelligence developed around suspected drug dealing activity in the Hunderton Avenue area of Hereford. “Mobile phones were seized which will now be digitally examined as part of the drug dealing investigation, and the £2,500 of stolen goods, which we believe may have been exchanged in return for drugs, were recovered. “We have already identified victims for the property who reported to police that items delivered by courier services were left at their property but never received. “We have seen an increase in shop thefts of toys, Lego, washing powders, and food, all of which are the type of goods we recovered yesterday so this is also a good result in that respect. “Three suspects have been bailed as further enquiries continue into the drugs investigation and the theft/handling stolen goods offences.”
