News from West Mercia PCC: Progress update following PEEL report

Progress continues at pace to deliver change following PEEL inspection

Understanding you rightly expect a police force that is delivering the best possible service, the PCC recently met with Chief Constable Richard Cooper to see what progress had been made to address concerns raised in the PEEL report. 

The report followed an HMICFRS inspection last year, which identified areas that were working well and areas that needed improvement. 

The PCC was reassured that since the report’s release significant improvements had already been made in relation to governance, data, and oversight, together with ongoing work to protect and identify vulnerable people.
