Yesterday (Monday 10 June), we conducted targeted speeding enforcement on Whitchurch Road, Wem, where the speed limit is 30mph. During the operation, 21 vehicles were monitored, averaging a speed of 26mph. One vehicle was recorded traveling at 36mph. 

Three drivers in total were pulled over and given some friendly words of advice regarding their speed.

Tackling speeding is one of our current neighbourhood priorities, and this action is part of ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of all road users in Wem. Please continue to observe speed limits and drive responsibly to help keep our community safe.
