Dear resident Senior PCSO's Katy Balaam and Shane Goodman joined The Arleston and College Safer Neighbourhood Team along with officers from South SNT's and Enforcement officers from Telford & Wrekin Council outside Shortwood Primary School this afternoon discussing Car Seat Safety and checks on taxi's. Taxi's are not exempt for the use of Child Car Seats and seatbelts when using their vehicle for personal journeys. A number of parents/carers were spoken to.
17 Child Car Seats were checked.
Officers identified 4 minor faults and 7 major faults.
These included:

🧬Twisted harness straps
🎒Children in car seats wearing back packs
