Property Marking - Defford Road Allotments : Thu 28 Mar 09:30

Dear Resident,

Following the recent arson's at the allotments, we are going to be working with Wychavon and the Town Council to provide property marking at the allotments on Thursday the 28th March 2024.

This will enable allotment users to increase the security of their property and “target harden” their allotments. Not only will we be patrolling the allotments regularly but there will be an increased police presence as the smart water packs come with stickers advising that smart water has been used. This deters criminals from carrying out criminal activity as they know we are paying close attention to the area.

Please continue to be vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour. If there are any further arson's discovered we urge to you PLEASE make sure you report them through the official methods as soon as you discover the arson has taken place. Due to a lack of reporting we have been unable to get a fire investigator to attend who would potentially be able to tell us exactly how the fires were started. As these fires appear to be escalating in scale, it is vital we do everything we can to identify the offenders before the arsonist escalates further.

Come along and speak with the Wychavon Community Safety Team and your SNT at the Pershore allotments on Defford Road on the 28th March from 09:30 to 12:30. If you have any property from your allotments which you would like to be marked with forensic smart water, we will be pleased to assist.
